Cycling Caps • There has been little change to cycling caps throughout history. Racers from 1960’s – 80’s epitomized the cap, and helped it distinguish into a style of its own.
Since helmets were not mandatory, caps were much more striking and meaningful.
Considering the helmet rule conceived by UCI in 2003, all professional cyclists are required to wear helmets during racing.
After all, the cycling cap has fallen into obscurity underneath the helmet, doing only the task it’s intended to do.
