YEAR-2 TRAINING PROGRAM In year 2, students will continue to develop fundamental knowledge of electricity and power. Through coursework and practical application, the student will cover control systems and fundamental concepts, alternating current, circuit breakers and fuses. The student will also cover theory and application on motors. While perfecting hands on skills, the student will continue to have over 2000 hours of on-the-job training. LTI
YEAR-3 TRAINING PROGRAM Students will continue to build their knowledge through classroom instruction, on-the-job training. Through coursework and practical application, the student will cover transformers, commercial electrical services, conductor selections and calculations. The student will also cover load calculations, branch & feeder circuits, and voice, data, and video. While continuing to perfecting hands on skills, the student will continue to have over 2000 hours of on-the-job training and 20 plus hours of on-the-job theory. LTI
YEAR 4 TRAINING PROGRAM 144 HOURS OF CLASSROOM INSTRUCTIONS20+ Hours of On-The-Job Theory plus 2000+ Hours of On-The-Job Training In the final year, students will cover stand-by and emergency systems, fire alarm systems, and advanced control systems. Along with learning the different systems, students will also cover specialty transformers and fundamentals of crew leadership. The student will also have over 20 hours of on-the-job theory along with over 2000 hours of on-the- job training. LTI
APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM Electricians install, maintain, and repair electrical power, communications Lighting, and control systems in homes, businesses and factories. Electricians work indoors & outdoors in nearly every type of facility. Almost all electricians work full time, which usually include evenings and weekends. The employment of electricians is projected to grow 14% from 2015 to 2024 much faster then average of all occupations. The electrical trade is designed to do more then just train you for a job. The electrical industry covers more then people are a where of: high-tech world of solid-state controls, programmable controls, computerized networking, and fiber optics are just a few areas that electricians work in. Apprentices will study and learn to interpret and apply the requirements of the National Electrical Code (NEC). A solid background in the theory and technology of the electrical trade will be needed to work in the field. A knowledge and ability to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits and equipment is a must to be a licensed electrician. Training gives apprentices the flexibility to pursue different areas of employment as entry level electricians.
