  2. Birth and death. • Eleanor zablewilhite was born in 1892 and she died 1991.

  3. How did she become Deaf? • Eleanor became Deaf when she was 2 she had a case of the measles and it blew her ear drum. She lost hereyesight, hearing, senses of smell and taste.

  4. Where is she from? • Eleanor is from Box Elder, South Dakota.

  5. Why is she famous? • Because, she was the first deaf lady to ever fly a plane.

  6. Does she have family? • She knew her father until she was 10 then she was given to foster parents.

  7. Did she make an impact on how Deaf people are treated today? • She might have but she did show that deaf people can do and be anything they want be they just have to try.

  8. Interesting fact. • She participated in air shows, races, and county fairs, gave rides to folks who had never before been in an airplane and she performed aerial stunts.
