  2. 1) Vidya India • It is a 33-year old NGO based in India that believes in social change through empowering the most vulnerable members of underprivileged communities: the women, youth, and children. • They create peerless programs with approach of holistic, practical education and vocational training. • A girl in eighth grade class who dreams of going back to her home town and changing it from the ground up. A 10th standard girl who scored a perfect 10.0 CGPA. • VIDYA makes stories like this happen.

  3. 2) Look for Child • Look For Child Foundation is a national non-profit organization dedicated to help children who didn’t get the help. • Look For Child Foundation approach focuses on children’s basic education, development, intervention, treatment, care and lot more. • With intentions to create support structures that would help provide tools like education, shelter, food and hope for those children and youth of our country.

  4. 3) Parkshala • Parkshala is a Noida-based NGO dedicated to transforming lives of children who hail from the lower strata of the society. • They work as an after-school support group to bridge the educational & moral gap between these children and their affluent peers. • They are trying to utilize already available resources for this purpose. So, the lessons take place in community parks and halls.

  5. 4) Smile Foundation India • Inspired by Senge's philosophy, a group of young corporate professionals came together in 2002 to set up Smile Foundation to work with grassroots initiatives for effecting positive changes in the lives of underprivileged children, their families and communities. • There vision is to bring a change in the lives of underprivileged children, youth and women, with a life-cycle approach of development. • Smile Foundation is to deploy best possible methodology and technology for achieving ideal SROI (social return on investment), to practice and promote good governance.

  6. 5) Lok Kalyan Samiti • Lok Kalyan Samiti is a non-profit, organization based in New Delhi and registered under the Societies Act, 1861. It functions from two centres at Chakkarpur (Gurgaon) and NandNagri (Slum Resettlement area) in northeast Delhi, in addition to its main office located in the heart of Delhi near ITO. • It is engaged in various social causes and welfare activities, which include healthcare, remedial education and vocational training, Called ‘Poor man’s Eye Hospital’ • NandNagri Centre houses remedial education program for slum resettlement children and also runs a community outreach programme along with vocational training for youth and women.
