Parties involved:RWS regional directions, waterboard, municipality, life guard, local authorities, water compagny Results: RWS - Identifiedfew examples of problems where Argus could be used but general reaction: Conservative – good as it is, only ‘extra’ information. Other parties - usefull information but cost/benefit relation possibly to low Conclusion: Choose area where information need of different coastal managers can be captured by one Argus station
Information need – Argus information Seaside RWS: Volume/position nourishment, bottomdepth/volume Municipality: Dune state, beach width, rip location Water Board: Dune volume, height of sea defence Nature organisation: state of animal and plant habitats
Aim workshop 1) Match information need of coastal managers for seaside Zandvoort. 2) Is there enough support for installing an Argus system in Zandvoort. Willingness for integral financing of the system.

Next step The Coastal managers find Argus information most usefull measuring new CSI’s. They are interessted in a broad spectrum of CSI’s. A financing proposal is needed to bring together the wishes, the costs and the avialable budget of the parties involved. RWS and WL will make a financing proposal based on the workshop. This proposal will be discussed in October/November.
