5. Struggles/Challenges • Constant health problems • Financial woes • Family persecution • Apathy • Hopelessness

6. How we reach the Urban poor in Phnom Penh • House groups- Our desire is to see a Cambodian led house church planting movement, to be growing in God’s Word and His grace , and reaching others with the Gospel. • Currently- we have three house groups: -one group in the blackwater area -two groups in Pniet- one meets Sunday morning and has weekly discipleship class and a mid- week prayer meeting. One meets Sunday evening

9. Ministry • Weekly house group meetings • Once a month combined- all group celebration and evangelistic service and meal • Monthly bible seminar for new believers • Home visitation • Weekly evangelism out in the community • Weekly youth discipleship class

10. Community Outreach to build bridges to the community Currently • Music class • Sponsorship for Education • English classes to youth and adults Future plans • Help starting Micro-business • Assistance in training of Vocational skills • Medical aid and education

11. Prayer needs • For the urban poor: That the gospel and the practical love of Christians will transform the urban poor to become followers of Christ, reaching out to their own families and communities, and planting house churches throughout PP. • For our team (Khmer and Missionaries): That we glorify God with our lives, grow in prayer, evangelism, desire for God’s word, common vision and unity as we go forward. • For our young believers: That they experience the Living God in prayer and His word, standing firm in temptation and evangelizing to family and the community. • For our house groups: That local leaders emerge, who are willing to be trained, taking responsibility to care for the group and reaching out to the lost. Pray for more houses and areas to open up for home groups.

Prayer needs(CONT.) • For our outreaches : • For the evangelistic combined home group gathering on the 4th Sunday in the month, 4pm. • For the monthly discipleship seminar for young believers. • For children ministry Sunday mornings. • For weekly visitation and evangelistic outreaches with the new believers of the church.

13. Prayer needs(CONT) • For current programs that serve the community: Music class to youth; English class to children and adults; possible literacy class in the Khmer language for youth and adults, who can not read and write. • Community project (current ministry and future goals):tosupport children and youth in education and skills training and support poor families to start small scale businesses: In order to reach them with the Good News.
