Look for the operative word • Provide explanation/reason even if not asked, but be succinct • Provide many specifics/examples • Don’t overlook stating obvious, they earn pts. • Reference data when data is part of FRQ, even if in a later letter • Consider 12 point breakdown • Consider purpose of data, i.e. what theme is presented • Be thorough with experimental design

Briefly outline each: • Explain how the key ingredients in Gatorade restore athletic capability. • How is a whale able to dive to great depths, for long time periods, despite the fact that the pressure will shrink its lungs? • What is the role of oxygen in life, specifically? • What role do ions play in regulating body function? • What would happen if we had a mutation such that we had no Loops of Henle?
