Objective • Analyze the main ICT developments on Older People’s Living Conditions and Social Environment • Overall Problem Definition and WP implementation (QUB) • Collection of Business Cases (Netwell) • Ethical and Regulatory Issues Related to Social Web (Vegan) • Ethical and Policy Implications of e-Health and Telemedicine (Frontida) • Human Issues Related to Housing Design (Fatronik) • Reporting and Disseminating (QUB)
Overall problem definition and WP implementation plans (QUB) • Timeframe: This activity will start in m1 and will be completed by m6 – Report Due Month 6 • Resources: Internal resources + 1 seconded ESR from VEGAN • The WP implementation plans include: • •WP Overview and problem definition, which should include an operational definition of older • people’s living conditions and environment • • Goals and Objectives • • Deliverables • • Human resource allocation • • Dissemination Plans • • Transfer of Knowledge • • Stakeholders • • Dissemination Plan • • Risk Plan
Collection of Business Cases (Netwell) • Timeframe: This activity will start by m6 and will be completed by m12– Report Due Month 12 • Resources: Internal resources + 1 seconded ESR from INNOVA • The responsible beneficiary will collect and compare approx. 10 business cases concerning public and private sector projects in the field of home care and ambient assisted living. • • What are the specific problems addressed by the business case? • • What are the strategic goals of the business case? • • What are the business case basic requirements? • • Cost/benefit justification of the business case, which should include both financial and non‐financial cost and benefits, in order to take into account also societal benefits and costs. • • How does the business case impact on elderly people life? • • Does the business case prevent exclusion and promote social inclusion? • • Lesson learned from the business case
Ethical and regulatory issues related to social web for older citizens (Vegan) Timeframe: This activity will start by m6 and will be completed by m12– Report Due Month 12 Resources: Internal resources + 1 seconded ESR from QUB The responsible beneficiary will carry out a comprehensive environmental scanning of the current debate on ethical and regulatory issues related to social web for older citizens. Such an exercise will include: 1) review of scientific papers and academic contributions; 2) review of policy papers and reports; 3) review of norms, regulations, code of practices; 4) review of EC relevant documents; 5) interviews with relevant actors.
Ethical and policy implications of e‐health and telemedicine (Frontida) • Timeframe: This activity will start by m12 and will be completed by m24– Report Due Month 24 • Resources: Internal resources + 1 seconded ESR from QUB • The responsible beneficiary will carry out a comprehensive environmental scanning of the current debate on ethical and policy implications of e‐health and telemedicine. Such an exercise will include: • review of scientific papers and academic contributions; • review of policy papers and reports; • 3) review of norms, regulations, code of practices; • 4) review of EC relevant documents; • 5) Interviews with relevant actors.
Human issues related to housing design for elderly and smart homes (FATRONIK) • Timeframe: This activity will start by m12 and will be completed by m24– Report Due Month 24 • Resources: Internal resources + 1 seconded ESR from CSSC • The responsible beneficiary will carry out a comprehensive environmental scanning of existing studies on housing design for elderly and smart homes. • Such an exercise will include: • review of scientific papers and academic contributions; • review of policy papers and reports; • 3) review of norms, regulations, code of practices; • 4) review of EC relevant documents; • 5) Interviews with relevant actors.
Reporting and Disseminating (QUB) • Timeframe: This activity will start by m24 and will be completed by m46– Final Report on WP3 Due Month 36 and Dissemination Report Due Month 48 • Resources: Internal resources + 1 newly recruited ER • QUB will collect and compare the five reports generated by A3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5. On the basis of these five reports QUB will draft the final report. This draft report will be then validated through the following procedures: • Elite Interviews • Stakeholder review • Public consultation • QUB will also create a final dissemination report based on the above.
