  2. Setting • The story takes place in multiple settings but the main setting is at the Lonely Mountain. The main character’s house is a small hole in a hill with a green door and a brass knob right in the center. The time period is more in the medieval times because they use swords, shields, armor, ect…

  3. Characters • Bilbo Baggins- A stubborn, rich hobbit( small human with large feet) with curly dark brown hair. • Gandalf the Grey- A tall, wise old wizard with a long grey beard. • Thorin Oakenshield- A short, stubby, stubborn dwarf with a Black beard.

  4. Plot: Conflict • Bilbo and his crew are on a quest to the lonely mountain to find the lost treasure of Thrain … which is guarded by an evil dragon named Smaug.

  5. Plot: Resolution • Bilbo informs a bird of Smaug’s weak spot, and a man named Bard shoots the dragon with an arrow and the treasure is no longer guarded by the dragon.

  6. Your Opinion • I enjoyed the, mainly because I enjoy this genre. I also enjoy it because the stuff that happens in his adventure like escaping goblins, fighting wars, solving riddles for his life, ect….

  7. About the Author • His last name means “ Foolishly Brave “. • His sister was diagnosed with diabetes. • He was fluent in more than 7 languages ( including his own). • He fought in a war in 1934. • He published this series in 1973

Bilbo, a gang of Dwarfs, and a wizard must restore peace to the land in this action packed novel ( And a ring may be involved).
