Shell in the UK • £7 billion investment in the UK over the last decade. • 12% of Shell Group’s capital invested in the UK, creating 10% of its profits. • Employs around 8,000 people directly, between 60,000 to 80,000 indirectly. • Produces 24% of UK’s oil & 23% of it’s gas. • Manufactures 15% of the UK’s oil products (petrol, aviation fuel, heating oil etc).
