  2. Back Ground • My name is Ann Margret • I am an only Child • I was born on April 28, 1941 in Stockholm, Sweden • My parents are Anna and Gustav Olsson • I Grew up in Wilmette, Illinois • I attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois

  3. Religion • I was raised into the Lutheran Religion • Lutheranism is one of the largest Protestant denominations today. According to the Lutheran World Federation, there are nearly 66 million Lutherans worldwide. Of these, 36 million live in Europe, 13 million in Africa, 8.4 million in North America, 7.3 million in Asia, and 1.1 million in Latin America.

  4. Immigration • I came to the United States with my mother. • I came to the United States in November 1964 • We settled in the Chicago Area

  5. Citizenship • I became a citizen of the United States in 1949 • When I came to the United States we had to go through a process call nationalism. • I was only eight when became a citizen of the United States

  6. Career • I am an actress, singer, and dancer • In 1961, I was filmed in a screen test at 20th century Fox and signed a 7 year contract. • I have got to work with people like Elvis Presley and John Wayne

  7. Early Film Career • My early film career started with Pocketful of Miracles, State Fair, Bye Bye Birdie, Viva Las Vegas. • Some other movies I have played in are Kitten with a whip, Once a Thief, and The Swinger.

  9. Personal Life • I married Roger Smith in 1967 • We have been together for 45 years • I Do not have any children
