  3. (Imation LS-120 SuperDisk) Super Disk (Floptical Disk) มีรูปร่างเหมือนฟล็อปปี้ดิสก์ ขนาด 3.5 นิ้วทุกประการ แต่มีความจุมากขึ้นเป็น 120 เมกะไบต์

  4. นอกจากนี้ Super Disk Drive ยังใช้อ่านเขียนข้อมูล แผ่น Floppy Disk ธรรมดาได้ด้วย ส่วนในเรื่อง Interface ก็มีให้เลือกอยู่หลายแบบทั้งแบบ IDE, SCSI, Parallel, USB

  6. หลักการทำงาน … อาศัยการบันทึกข้อมูลด้วยสนามแม่เหล็กแต่ใช้กลไกการอ่านที่เรียกว่า optical servo (หรือบางทีเรียกว่า Laser servo) หรือวงจรเลื่อนตำแหน่งหัวอ่าน ควบคุมด้วยแสง ทำให้มีความละเอียดในการวางแทรคที่เพิ่มมากขึ้น และ การอ่าน ที่มีความละเอียดมากขึ้น

  7. เช่น ดิสก์ธรรมดา 80 แทรค 2,480 sector Floptical disk 1,736 แทรค 245,760 sector 245,760 X 0.5 KB = 60 MB/หน้า

  8. Floptical disk โดยทั่วไป มีอัตราการหมุนอยู่ที่ความเร็ว 720 rpm และมีอัตราการส่งข้อมูลประมาณ 3.2-5.4 MB/s
