  2. HONDURAS ROTARY PROJECTSSCHOOL WRITING DESK AND CHAIR PRORAM Justification Throughout  Public Schools in Honduras the  provision of School Desks for the children has not been handled properly. The situation of children taking their classes has been characterized as as aggrieving and related to low scholastic achievement  and desertion. In many places, children take their classes Sitting on the floor, with no place to keep their books and utilities. To improve this situation, ROTARY CLUBS OF HONDURAS have joined (ESCUELAS SALUDABLES) HEALTHY SCHOOLS in their effort to improve this condition by adding basic comfort to the physical state and health for the children

HONDURAS ROTARY PROJECTSSCHOOL WRITING DESK AND CHAIR PRORAM Project  description The organization  HEALTHY SCHOOLS  presided by the first lady of Honduras has an outreach throughout the schools of the country, has prepared a list of schools in 112 Municipalities of  Honduras. The schooldesks will be manufactured locally and according to specification provided by the Ministry of education, at a cost of US$ 25.00 per child. The cooperating organization HEATHY SCHOOLS will provide  logistic, supervision and and assistance to Rotarians visiting the benefited schools. Rotary Involvement The local Rotary Club, sponsoring this project will inspect the benefited schools. Will contract and supervise the manufacturing of the school desks. And be in charge of payment, accounting and proper delivery of the school desks. A Rotary identification will be placed on the back of  each chair.  Further Rotary involvement with schools will be taken into consideration as needed.
