  5. Life in God’s Laws 7The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8 The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.

  6. Life in God’s Laws 9The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever. The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous. 10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold; they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb. 11 By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward (Psalm 19:7-11 NIV).

  17. Law of Giving 17 Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—18 to do good [talent],to be rich in helping others[time], to be extravagantly generous [treasure].19 If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life, (1 Timothy 6:17–19 The Message).
