2007-08 Upfront Four out of eight broadcast network pilots developed this season have been ordered to series, a 50% success rate, higher than any other studio and outpacing even last year’s performance, including: • Cashmere Mafia, one-hour drama for ABC from producer Darren Star, starring Lucy Liu, Miranda Otto, Francis O’Connor and Bonnie Somerville. • Viva Laughlin, one-hour drama/musical for CBS, based on a BBC series and produced by Bob Lowry, starring Lloyd Owen, Madchen Amick and Hugh Jackman (guest-star and executive producer). • Power of 10, one-hour game show for CBS from Michael Davies, hosted by Drew Carey. Likely to premiere this summer. • Canterbury’s Law, one-hour drama for FBC from Apostle (Denis Leary’s and Jim Serpico), starring Julianna Marguiles.
