THE TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT STRUCTURE SUPPORTS • the entity through content production • joining of sub-projects to the entity • management of the entity: not only project management, but formation of the entity • dialogue (flexibility, materials, methods, means, structure and instruments) • is e.g. consultation needed between training periods to create a joint output? • giving of feedback to and evaluation of the whole process • training is clearly a support structure and it cannot take over the leadership • training must not guide the entity too much; if this happens, the situation has to be interfered with

GLOCAL ADAPTOR 2002 - 2005 • A DIVERSIFIED PROGRAMME SUPPORTS THE ACTIVITIES AND DEVELOPMENT OF COMMUNAL ARENAS • open local seminar days (themes of current interest) • days for elaboration of own projects and consultations in between them • joint seminar days for all project actors • evaluation and research to support development and dialogue with sub-project activities • exchange of operation modes, processes, ideas • new know-how and innovations • local, national and international dialogue

GLOCAL ADAPTOR 2002 - 2005 • PARTICIPANTS • sub-projects participating in the Joensuu Region EQUAL project • Community resource centre of Joensuu, Kotikartano, • central actors in each locality (Oulu, Jyväskylä, Lieksa) • separately agreed seminar days are open • project elaboration days (for key actors of the project) • consultation opportunity to sub-projects

CONTENTS: themes will be selected when the training process progresses • EQUAL project, values, language, central concepts • partnership, commitment, sharing, involvement, team work • EQUAL’s structures and networks, utilisation of networks • realisation of evaluation and planning • self-evaluation, situation reports • learning by doing, joint training • life cycle of a development project • good practices and well functioning models • situation of the badly-off and active social policy • workshops, future workshops • results of and resources for development work • link to basic services • development co-operation with labour administration, labour service • centre • social entrepreneurship, social capital, social economy • objectives and realisation of the international part • objectives and realisation of theme work • the third sector as an actor • opportunities offered by peer support

THE PROCESS TO THE BACKGROUND AND THE SUBSTANCE TO THE CENTRE! • Themes (partnership, involvement, empowerment, mainstreaming etc.) • Work methods of the future periods (e.g. outlined status reports and creative methods) • Joint information (place in which the memos have been collected and into which material can be included under the web-page) • Instruments and methods for own work • Organisation of sub-project -based consultation • Intermediate tasks • Joint clarification of the model

NATIONAL THEME WORK • Forum for learning from each other for the DP’s • Link between EQUAL and national policy • Involvement of external parties (users, authorities etc.) • Analysis of the marginalization problems on the labor market • Development of instruments for evaluation of good practices • Summarizing of good practices • Development of dissemination strategies • Link between the mainstreaming activities of the national level and the European level

(Glocal Adaptor work group 2.9.) • YEAR 2005 10. period, 2 days: February-March, the final seminar • CONTRACTS Joint meetings (6 realised, 4 periods in the future) • Intermediate tasks will be agreed upon during each period • Consultation when requested, based on the need of the sub-project • Working methods during close periods (e.g outlined status reports and creative methods)
