Five Guidelines For Success in Mr. Hance’s classroom Responsibility • You are responsible for your own behavior a. Recognize personal space b. Use words wisely, think before you talk!
Five Guidelines For Success in Mr. Hance’s classroom Participation • Come prepared to learn and share your ideas a. Bring all materials necessary to aid in learning b. Lab work is 60% of your grade!

Daily End-of–day class/lab routines • CLASSROOM: • Clean all black/white boards • Clear all desk and work surfaces of materials, paper,notebooks,ect. • Wipe down all of the desk areas • Place text and notebooks in appropriate storage areas. • Pick up paper and sweep the floors • Push chairs under tables, desks and work modules
Daily End-of–day class/lab routines • LABORATORIES: • Return tools, instruments to the appropriate storage • Sweep floors around machinery/ pick up chips, shavings, sawdust, ect. • Wipe or brush work surfaces • Appropriately clean and store test equipment and all hand tools. • Clean storage areas as necessary • Empty trash if necessary
Daily End-of–day class/lab routines • EVERY STUDENT IS INVOLVED IN ALL DAILY CLEANUP ACTIVITIES Teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success. ~Author Unknown
General shop/safety rules • Safety glasses will be wore at all times in the shop. • Shop uniform must be worn in the shop at all times. • Construction boots must be worn in the shop at all times. ( no tennis shoes or hiking boots) • Report broken tools or machinery to the instructor immediately.
General shop/safety rules • Throwing objects will not be tolerated on school grounds or in the shop. • All nails must be removed from all disassembled projects as each piece is removed. • Keep work areas clean. • Shop equipment and power equipment is not to be used without permission of the instructor.
