Geography • Is mostly a sandy desert • About one fourth the size of USA. • About 750,96 square miles. • Has to deal with sand storms, temperature extremes, and intense heat • Average temperature is 110°F • The hottest gets up to 140°F • Natural recourses are crude oil, natural gas, iron ore, gold and copper • Lowest point, Persian Gulf at sea level • Highest point, Jabal Sawda at 3,133 meters above sea level
Food • Saudi Arabians prefer to eat mildly spicy foods • They eat a lot of rice, lamb, and chicken • They drink a lot of tea, coffee, butter milk, and camel milk • Saudi Arabians prefer to talk before and after meals
Sports • Soccer is a national sport in Saudi Arabia • Other sports are volleyball, basket ball, swimming, wrestling, and roller skating • Horse and Camel races are popular • So are hunting and hawking
