  4. The Humsafar Trust was born in the summer of 1994

  5. Much of THE HUMSAFAR TRUST work involves Sexuality, Gender, Health and Human rights

  6. December 1994 The Humsafar Trust organized India’s first ever conference of the gay community

  7. 1995 Drop-in center was acquired and Friday meetings started 1998 The Directorate of Health Services grants Rs. 58,000 for sex mapping of MSM sites in Mumbai 77 active sites identified in 3 months

  9. Beginning of HIV Interventions- 1999 • Mumbai District AIDS Control Society sanctioned NACO’s first pilot project in the MSM sector in Mumbai for 1000 populations • The HST sets up a VCCTC within its premises on 26th June 1999 • The USAID FHI IMPACT Project up scales in 2001 • 6 TIs reaching out to 9000 MSM and TG in 2012 • Clinic and counseling unit • Support group for MSM and TG living with HIV
