  4. Modeling [Picture model] • Total flux: Insensitive to distribution of light. • Correlated flux: Sensitive to orientation of light distribution, insensitive to translations of light distribution. • Differential phase: Sensitive to asymmetry of light distribution.

Modeling Total flux • 3D model → 2D temperature image → 2D intensity image → total flux • 6 Parameters: Inclination, temperature, radius, falloff and absorption (Silicate and Calcium) Correlated flux • CF(u,v) = TF• |V(u,v)|, |V(u,v)| = |FT(I(x,y))| • 2 Parameters: Partice distribution scale and rotation of torus Differential phase • DP(u,v) = δ(u,v) - Linear Part of δ in λ, V(u,v) = |V(u,v)| exp(-ikδ) • 2 Parameters: Translation of torus in x and y direction
