CLASSIFICATIONS • Classification by COICOP: The central Statistical office has recently started compiling households final consumption expenditures by purpose according to the guide lines set by the ICP. • The consumption patterns of the households were as follows: 1. 110100 = Food and non-alcoholic beverages 2. 110200 = Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics. 3. 110300 = Clothing and food wear

  3. 4. 110400 = Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel 5. 110500 = Furnishings, household equipments and maintenance. 6. 110600 = Health 7. 110700 = Transport 8 .110800 = communication 9. 110900 = Recreation and culture 10. 111000 = Education 11. 111100 = Restaurants and Hotels 12. 111200 = Miscellaneous goods and services.

  4. The weights for the COICOP were derived from the the household income expenditure survey(HIES) 2000. ISIC: The Ministry of trade and Industry is under way to implement the data base for the trade licenses in line with ISIC. The sample of ISIC codes assigned are as given below: Logging 02002 Utensil shop 52339 Mining of marble 10102 Hardware 52342
