What is ELGSA? • ELGSA is the official student organization for the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis • We represent the following ELPA programs: • Higher Education Leadership & Policy • PK-12 Leadership & Policy • Statewide Cooperative Ed.D. Program • Purpose of ELGSA: • Provide social networking and cultural events • Provide professional development opportunities • Act as the voice of the ELPA student body • Serve as a liaison to the Graduate Professional Council (GPC) which is the official MU Graduate Student Government

Travel Awards- Funding up to $1,000.00 for traveling to conferences! • Apply through Orgsynic • Proposed budged • Statement of purpose • Approved via the travel award committee • Conferences: • NODAC- November 2-5 | Orlando, FL • UCEA- November 20-23 | Washington, DC • AEFP- February 26-28 | Washington, DC • ACPA- March 5-8 | Tampa, FL • NASPA- March 21-25 | New Orleans, LA • NAFSA- May 24-29 | Boston, MA

Opportunities to get involved • GPC/GSA Representative • ELPA Rep for GPC the official graduate student government and GSA the official graduate student organization • ELGSA Student Fees Review Committee • Evaluates and reviews the ELGSA budget and the use of student fees • ELPA Degree Representative • Liaison between ELPA and the students to promote events, presentations and research opportunities hosted by the ELPA faculty and the department • Director of Programming and Publicity • Directs social and cultural events • Technology Coordinator • Manages social media, ELGSA Website, and OrgSync • NASPA Graduate Associate Program (GAP) Representative • Liaison between NASPA and ELPA to promote professional development opportunities through NASPA and the Annual Conference
