Pride is used in two senses… • Matthew 22:39 And the second is like it: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ • Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. • 1Timothy 4:12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. • Acts 2:47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

Pride is sin… • Proverbs 21:4 A haughty look, a proud heart, And the plowing of the wicked are sin. • Proverbs 6:16 These six things the Lord hates, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: 17 A proud look, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, 19 A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.
Pride is sin… • Proverbs 16:5 Everyone proud in heart is an abomination to the Lord; Though they join forces, none will go unpunished. • Mark 7:21 For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders,22thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.23All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
Pride is sin… • Genesis 3:1-6 • 1John 2:15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. Pride will lead to other things… • Proverbs 13:10 By pride comes nothing but strife, But with the well-advised is wisdom. • Psalm 10:4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts. • Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before a fall. • 1Corinthians 10:12Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.

In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all. • James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.

His praise endures forever.
WE ALL Need to be reminded… • Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; • Proverbs 26:12 Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. • Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
Looking to cure pride… • Galatians 6:3 For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. • Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. • Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Have the proper attitude this day! • 1Corinthians 13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; • 1John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us. • Matthew 18:1-4
