ILL Process Until 2009 Paper Form Used Mentioned in Library Instruction Book Marks and Flyers for Advertising Information on Web Page Said “See Librarian for Assistance” Some databases allowed student to fill out form that came to library staff email which we used
ILL Progress 2009-13 ILLiad Software Implementation Summer 2009 Created ILL Video Tutorials Summer 2010 Demonstrations now during Library Instruction Some Databases now have forms and links to ILLiad Patrons can now learn about process when they want to
ILL Progress Summer 2013-Present Added Libguides Summer 2013 (Subject Guides) Added Videos/ Tutorials with Instructions for ILL on Libguides ILL Videos/Tutorials also on webpage ILL Demonstrations during Library Instruction using videos In Process of adding tutorial/video to all Libguides
Results of Moving to ILLiad,Libguides, and Videos to Promote ILL Fewer Questions about the Process Increased Usage of ILL by faculty and students More people finding tutorials on libguides than library webpage but both are being used
Continue to Improve ILL Process Working to add ILL links to more databases Additional ILL tutorials coming We still use book marks and flyers - still good way to advertise https://oclc.org/illiad/promote.en.html
