  3. Three SupportingSentences 1 2 3 We brought freshly made ham sandwiches, apple pie and ice cold lemonade. While we enjoyed our picnic lunch under a tree, a small blue bird hopped close to us. Suddenly this small bird grabbed my top piece of bread off my sandwich and flew off.

  4. Closing sentence We couldn’t believe this hungry bird had invited himself to our family picnic!
