(Farooq, Doha, Ferdows and KFUPM Schools) • Installing PABX for HFCC and DCC (Community Colleges). • Linking DCC to KFUPM by a Wireless Link (Wi-Max, 4 Mbps). • Major Installations/Renovations of Fire Protection Systems. • Pilot Project for Providing Smart Card Access Control to Smart Classrooms. • Migrating ADSL Service to a Separate External Link with Enhanced Features (in cooperation with ITC). • Developing IVR System for Housing and Office Services. • Developing IVR system for Ministry of Islamic Affairs. • Launching Telecommunications Department Website.

On-Going Projects • Finalizing Infrastructure and Equipment Installations For Voice Services at the Newly Constructed Buildings (58 And 59). • Protecting Smart Classrooms in Existing Buildings and the Two Newly Constructed Buildings by Smart Card Access Control. • Upgrading Smart Card Management Software To a Web-based System. • Developing IVR System For ITC Services. • Automating All Internal Processes of Telecom Department.

  4. Future Projects • Upgrading KFUPM PBX System to a State-of-the-Art IP-based System Supporting IP Telephony, Mobile Telephony and Unified Messaging. • Introducing a Smart Tag RFID System (e-labeling) for Asset Management and Library System. • Creating Further Applications of Smart Card: Access to Library System, Access to Medical Center Filing System, Security Access to Public Computers.
