  1. LTG Mary Legere Senior Army Representative

  2. LTG Mary Legere is the Army’s Senior Intelligence Officer and Principal Advisor on Intelligence and Security Policy, Programs, and Operations for the Secretary of the Army and Chief of Staff. She attained the rank of Three Star General in 2012, and is only the fourth woman to reach that rank.

  3. “I oversee the global operations of the Army’s 58,000-person Intelligence Corps, the modernization of our intelligence systems, and the readiness of our formations across seven geographic theaters, including Afghanistan and Iraq, and an intelligence budget of over four billion dollars,” she explains.

  4. “In addition, I advise the Army Chief of Staff of the Army on Readiness, Operations and Modernization of the Intelligence Corps. I am also the Army's lead executive on Information, Personnel and Industrial Security, the Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Manpower and Readiness, and Acquisition, Logistics and Technology on Security and Protection Policies.”

  5. She is also the Senior Army Representative in the U.S. Intelligence Community, and one of seventeen Senior Intelligence Officers. “I am successfully driving the transformation of the Army’s Intelligence Corps as we transition from a focus on operations in Afghanistan and Iraq toward refitting the Army Intelligence Corps to meet the emerging threats of our Globally Engaged and Regionally Aligned Army around the globe.”

  6. LTG Mary Legere expects to retire soon, after a military career that has lasted more than thirty years. She is exploring her options within the private sector and within the National Security/Intelligence sectors.
