Implications and Issues – Part 1 • Need to be realistic • Holds potential to decrease time to degree and raise graduation rates • Risks underestimating the work • Risks misleading students and their families about widening gap • Need for understanding and buy in for implementation • Recognition that HS seniors could meet ELA & Math standards and not be college ready.
