Target for our lesson • Make a visual of a metric unit found in fast food to understand the true size found on a label. • Understand how metric can be compared to our standard units of cups, measuring spoons creating a visual from a fast food choice. • Use our senses to feel, taste and hold food units.
Use technology for this lesson. • In the computer lab, search for nutritional information on a fast food restaurant. • Choose a meal or at least 2 items for your visual. • Return to the class and convert the metric label information to cups and ounces. • Create a visual. Take a photo and place in a PPT to share with the class.
