  3. Aid in the Next EU Budget (2014-2020) The total size €1,141billion Aid to the poorest €51bn* & €9bn in humanitarian aid €15 = 6% *European Development Fund (€30bn) & Development Cooperation Instrument (€21bn)

  4. Why spend aid via the EU? EU aid works EU is internationally recognised as high quality EU aid aligns to UK priorities Coordinating role The EU has a presence via its network in 136 countries

  5. Why spend aid via the EU?
