Science Fair • Brooklyn VanBeveran won 1st place/Grand Champion at the Regional Science Fair and will compete at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science State Science Exposition May 4 at SIU-Carbondale. • Maggie Wilder placed 2nd with her project and was also awarded an Award for Geoscience Excellence. • Job well done ladies!
Solo and Ensemble Contest These kids (along with Jensen Stoneking, Brooklyn VanBeveran, Neena Turnblom, and Skylar Turpin) all placed in either Division 1 or 2 at the Solo and Ensemble Contest at ICC. Great job kids!
Athletics/Activities • William Stowe went 2-2 at the IESA State Wrestling Meet, falling in his final match 1-0. • Scholastic Bowl has a home meet tomorrow night against Abingdon-Avon. • Track practice begins tonight, March 18.

KHS Clubs • FCCLA • Foods classes are making the sides for the ag banquet this week. • Maren Wilder is running for State FCCLA Officer position. • Five members are competing in STAR events at State Conference the first week in April. • FFA • 14 FFA members completed record books on their SAE projects. 10 Advanced to Section, 4 advanced to District, and Mackenzie Pruett and Evan Link will compete this weekend at State in their respective areas. • Tomorrow 15 FFA members travel to Springfield for Ag Legislative day to promote agriculture and ag education • Annual parent, community and FFA member banquet is this Thursday at 6pm.
KHS Activities • Academic Challenge team is State-bound after winning sectionals. • E-sports has their first week of competition this week for the Spring Majors. Esports will also be having a fundraiser at Pizza Ranch on May 8th. • KHS play - Clue • Band/Orchestra/Jazz Band • Vocal Showcase
