KEYS to the Simulation Exam • Carefully READ the opening scenario • It provides clues as to what your problem is • Select items based on: “ESSENTIAL” or “CORRECT”
KEYS to the Simulation Exam • ESSENTIAL: Very important task or tasks to perform. Essential to discovering more information or revealing important facts about your injury situation.
KEYS to the Simulation Exam • CORRECT: Important and Informative information is gained. Although this may not be an “essential” item, it is important not to overlook a related task.
KEYS to the Simulation Exam • Other Important information: • An item can be “Incorrect”, meaning either the task is not to be performed at this point in time or the task creates further injury • An item can be “Neutral”, this means this task can be done or not done. It does nothing to harm the athlete or to reveal further information.
KEYS to the Simulation Exam • BE care of being “pen” happy • Re-read an item before revealing it, making sure it’s logical and important to the task of managing the injury situation.
