C.A.R.E. Promoting the development of peace in our school can be achieved best through a unified effort in modeling and promoting… Courtesy – the manner in which we interact with each other. Words carry weight, therefore we should measure them appropriately before speaking. Actions leave lasting impressions on our character; let us model and teach to think before acting. Awareness –attending to one’s surroundings. “Be where your feet are.” Responsibility – having accountability for our actions. Excuses are an attempt to release or deflect responsibility to someone else, and do not help us grow. Enthusiasm – the vigor we give to everything we do. “In all that you do, do with your might; things done by halves are never done right.”
Nurturing Intrinsic Discipline Require your child to manage her/his… • backpack • lunch box • water bottle • homework folder & assignments Provide a defined space to place these items Be consistent with a routine Enlist your child’s help with family tasks
Charter as Community Individual commitment to a group effort – that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work. -Vince Lombardi
