Effective Date Course ID Course Offering Course Component majority of data in OASIS can be effective dated to capture history of changes (e.g., all major changes) unique 6-digit number assigned to a course – allows identical courses with different prefix and/or number to be treated as same course in repeat rules, course edits, etc. courses that are identical but offered on multiple campuses; will be set up as different offerings under same course ID parts of a course offering (e.g., lecture, lab, etc.); one course can have multiple components New Terminology
