  3. Fairy Tale Fairy tale - may involve fairies, giants, dragons, elves, goblins, dwarves, and other fanciful and fantastic forces.

  4. Folk Tale Folk tale - a collection of fictional tales about people and/or animals - describe how main character copes with events of everyday life - tale may involve crisis or conflict - superstitions and unfounded beliefs are important elements

  5. Legend Legend - a story purported to be historical in nature, but without evidence Examples King Arthur, Robin Hood
