  2. Providence Bible Church exists to: • WorshipGod in Spirit and Truth • Growin knowledge through discipleship and fellowship • Serveone another and the community • Sharethe gospel.

  3. We can serve without loving, but we cannot love without serving.

  5. Serving one another is the natural byproduct of love.

  6. For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Galatians 5:13–14

  7. So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. Galatians 6:10

  8. Truths About Spiritual Gifts • All gifts are given to you by God • Your gifts are given for the good of others • God works through your gifts

  9. God Works Through Your Gifts “but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.” (1 Cor. 12:6) “All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.” (1 Cor. 12:11) “empower” (Greek energeo) = “to work”

  10. God Works Through Your Gifts You shall speak to all the skillful, whom I have filled with a spirit of skill, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him for my priesthood. Exodus 28:3

  11. God Works Through Your Gifts See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, Exodus 31:2–3

  12. Truths About Spiritual Gifts • All gifts are given to you by God • Your gifts are given for the good of others • God works through your gifts • No gift is “too small” for the body • The level of congregational care depends upon you
