TASKS Learn the 4 stages of the butterfly's life cycle. Print the Butterfly Storyboard. Draw and label the stages. Answer questions about each stage of the life cycle. Create a slide show to illustrate and describe the life cycle of the butterfly. Learn about the difference between a butterfly and a moth
The Process • Click on Butterfly Life Cycle • Begin by viewing the first stage of the life cycle: The Egg. • Read and answer the questions on the storyboard. • Draw a picture of the butterfly at this stage of its life cycle. • When finished, click on Larva. Answer the questions and draw the larva stage on your paper. • When finished, click on Pupa. Answer the questions and draw the pupa stage on your paper. • When finished, click on Adult. Answer the questions and draw the adult stage on your paper. • In the end answer the question what is the difference between a butterfly and a moth.
When the storyboard is complete, use the Go Menu to return toMetamorphosis - Life Cycle of the Butterfly.Click on Resources. Click on the Butterfly Puzzle. Use the Back button to return to the WebQuest Resources. Click on Nature - The Body Changers to learn about other animals who experience metamorphosis. At the computer, step 2:Use Kid Pix to create a Slide Show showing the metamorphosis through the 4 stages of the Butterfly Life Cycle. Your slide show is to have:5 slides Each slide will have:a drawing of one stage of the life cyclea written description of the stageThe last slide will have the pictures of a butterfly and a moth and a written description of the differences In the classroom:Study each picture and learn the names of each stage. Make sure you can describe each stage in metamorphosis.
