The origin of foreign language resources is like a bubbling natural spring - endless and ever growing. Through networking and developing a professional voice I learn how savor the spring water and find its rejuvenating powers. Merci beaucoup, Aaron. You gave specific ideas that we can use for follow-up. Thanks for the details. You have saved teachers a great deal of time. Encore un grand merci. I have this same problem, too. It's hard not to have a loud class with 32 kids all speaking! I have found that when a student is not doing well and they or parents ask for "extra credit" (which I will not give) I remind them that I offered extra points all along and they never too advantage of them. (Tricky, huh?) The best advice I can give you as new teachers is find other new teachers. Share your good news with them. Commiserate with them. Learn together. These new teachers will quickly become invaluable friends and understand what you are feeling. You will help each other get through that first year.
