By the end of this class : How to efficiently find competitors and sector constituents & to analyse/compare these companies?
Agenda • 1.View and analyse the sector / company comparisons in Related Company Data • 2.Search for sector constituents and use the model Equity Sector Browser • 3.Analyse the constituents of a market sector in Stock List Analysis • 4. Making individual stock analysis
Give an overview of the content of the Related Company Data Open a Quote Object and type in the RIC for a company e.g. SIEGn.DE for Siemens AG. Then right mouse click and open the Related Company Data.
Show the Sector Comparison • Within the Comparison folder – “Sector Comparison” the user can find the competitors of a company. The system picks automatically the local sector scheme and the local competitors. The user can change the sector schemes e.g. Deutsche Boerse AG, MSCI sector scheme or FTSE. In addition it is possible to select the regions from where you want to analyse the competitors of the company. • Then show the users how to use the market cap filter and the selection of the various Report types. In addition present that the selections can easily transferred to excel via the “Export data to Excel” button.

Features and Benefits • Introduction • The Equity Sector Browser worksheet lets you specify a stock, then retrieve the local or Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) sector, Financial Times Stock Exchange Index (FTSE) sector, or Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) and scheme data associated with the stock. You can then compare your specified stock with other stocks in the same local, MSCI, FTSE, or GICS sector. • Features • List the local, MSCI, FTSE, or GICS sectors for a particular country • Analyze the constituents of a sector using percentage price change, price earnings and dividend yield, technical, risk and fundamental data • Retrieve news headlines by category, news code or keyword • Benefits • Compare your specified stock with other stocks in the same local, MSCI, FTSE or GICS sector
Stock List Analysis Model -you can select from a broad range of analytics which are divided into four groups from A to Z. Further you can sort companies ascending or descending by name, %Change, Last, Points Moved
