Course Work - loads of work. - increasing diversity of courses– choose well! - Comprehensive Exam and Prospectus Defense. Research - Professors, Research Centers, Research Groups. - Research Grants, Research Networks. - ACRO.

  4. On Campus Activities Research Groups: - mainly initiated by PhD students - potential for dev.ing one’s academic/professional interests. Student Union Student Clubs IMPORTANT – unstructured community + loads of resources

  5. Resources People – prof.s, PhD students, admin. Structures – Research Centers & Groups, Departments, Schools, Admin Units. System – support for activities. Material – CEU, OSA, Financial – Research Grants,

  6. Career 4-10 years at CEU  Know and dream about what you want. Learn about it: what it is, who does it around you, what it takes to get there, how to get there. Define your sequence of steps & ACT on it. Share what you know with those around you. Enjoy 
