This week • CSC this week: shutdown activities • ALCT 0-suppression firmware loaded okay • High rate readout sync errors • Reproduced at Pt 5 • At least 2 firmware problems to be resolved • Migration of computers to SLC5 ongoing, then CSC online software upgrade • XEB: • 8 TeV / 50 ns looking likely from Chamonix workshop (ongoing) • Open window in 40-5-A01 made for a shorter meeting (Tim Cox) • Joe misses 1st part, lunching with the ambassador… • ATLAS can’t handle >2E34 luminosity until after LS2 • Reviews: • Signed off as ARC chair for HI Wmunu observation

Ahead • 4 hours of particle physics lectures / week… • Detailed comments on HI W->munu needed before paper released to CWR • ARC reviews ignited: • Z’ just started • Same-sign dilepton SUSY search just started • Same-sign + 2 btags SUSY search about to begin • Lab cleanup – more needed • Define CSC group “service needs” for 2012 • Similar to 2011 but more on upgrade, less maintenance • Get back to neutron note … someday
