  4. GA Work Ready Regions

  5. Skills Needed • Organized • Understanding of GA Work Ready Initiative www.gaworkready.org • Knowledge of GA Strategic Industries and GA Work Ready Industry Clusters • Ability to meet deadlines • Computer Skills • Familiarity of GA Education System

  6. Steps for Project • Meet with GA Work Ready Region Leadership Team • Identify Needs of GA Work Ready Region • Work in Region Identifying all resources being used as related to Career Pathways as aligned with WRR and present to school leadership team • Attend GA Work Ready Regional and GA Work Ready County meetings • Compile and summarize information gathered from the schools • Assist GA Work Ready Regional Team Leader in writing of Emerging Workforce career pathways Road Map

  7. Steps 1 and 2 • Meet with GA Work Ready Region (WRR)Leadership Team • Identify Needs of GA Work Ready Region (WRR) March 18, 2009

  8. Step 3 • Work in region identifying all resources being used by local high schools as related to Career Pathways as aligned with Work Ready Region Career Pathways Career Academies Dual Enrollment Work Based Learning • Present Power Point to school leadership team on GA Work Ready Region Industry Clusters March 19 – May 31, 2009

  9. Step 4 • Attend GA Work Ready Regional and GA Work Ready County meetings As agreed to by the Region Project Team Leader

  10. Step 5 • Compile and summarize electronically all information gathered from the high schools June 1- 15, 2009

  11. Step 6 • Assist GA Work Ready Regional Team Leader in writing of Emerging Workforce career pathways Road Map June 15-30, 2009

  12. Payments • April 30, 2009 • June 30, 2009 • Travel reimbursements will be made by the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development in a timely fashion and according to state guidelines. Expense Form Mileage at $.55 per mile
