  2. Overview Moonstruck Chocolates was established in 1993. It was established on the premise that chocolate is an indulgence by all the senses. The company’s great product was featured in the 77th and 78th Academy Award’s gift baskets. These delicate creations are handcrafted in Portland, Oregon.

  3. Chef Julian Rose Chef Julian Rose has been practicing the art of confection almost all his life. He grew up in his parents bakery shop. Thought to be a Master Chocolatier in North America. His mission is to develop new products, refining existing ones and ensuring great quality of all their products.

  4. History Moonstruck Chocolates was founded in 1993. Dan Hossley was recently named the new CEO of Moonstruck Chocolates. Since then they have been shipping chocolates across the nation and this company has set up many chocolate café’s around Portland.

  5. Timeline 1993: Company formed 1996: Company opened first store on NW Alder Street in Downtown Portland. 1998-2008: Company opened 14 more stores across the country. Company switched owners. 2005 & 2006: Chocolates were featured in Academy Awards gift bags. February 2008: Chef Julian Rose & Current CEO Daniel Hossley were hired. April – October 2008: Company closed all stores outside of Oregon to move all retail operations back to Oregon. 2010: Head Chocolatier Julian Rose was named Top 10 Chocolatiers in North America

  6. Awards & Honors The Rachael Ray Show selected Moonstruck Chocolate's 4 piece Cream Cone Collections to be featured in its Snack of the Day segment, in Feb. 2008. The Ellen DeGeneres Show featured Moonstruck Chocolates' Crescents Moon Collection in their gifts to celebrity guests. The 77th and 78th Annual Academy Awards selected Moonstruck chocolates as the official chocolates to be presented at the Oscars. There are countless more awards and honors Moonstruck have been given.

  7. Facts Owned by: Dave and Sally Bany, Directors Use the finest and most exotic cocoa beans in the world. Seasonal Collections come out six times a year. Moonstruck currently owns five Moonstruck Café’s in Oregon.

  8. Social Responsibilities Moonstruck Chocolatier’s only use organic product's to ensure the best quality of food. Also Moonstruck wants to ensure jobs in Oregon so they have relocated all stores back to Oregon.
