This is where I would list my classroom rules, etc. (All of the things that are contained in my syllabus). Classroom Expectations
I chose to do an introductory PowerPoint to be used on the first day of school. I plan to add more to the PowerPoint before I present it. It might even set it to begin and transition on its own as the students come in. Another idea that just came to my mind was to have the PowerPoint ready on the day of Open House so that parents can view the PowerPoint as well as their children. I’m not sure how well this would work because things are very busy on that day and I’m not sure if parents would have time to look at it. Most of the time, they are just acquainting their child with where their classes are located. Either way, I could still have the PowerPoint going for those who do have time and are interested in learning about me and my classroom expectations. Creating this PowerPoint was simple. The only thing that I have had trouble finding are pictures. I wanted a picture of the Royston Elementary panther but have not been able to locate one. There is one on the school website but it is not allowing me to copy the picture. I’ll have to think of something creative to do in the place of it. I have been creating PowerPoints for quite some time. I am not an expert at it, but I know how to do the basic things. I have created several lessons on Microsoft PowerPoint since my InFocus Machine was mounted on my classroom ceiling.
