  1. Our Class Trip to the 9/30/2011 Service Learning Project 2011-2012

  2. Ingrid Norris is our host. She is explaining the procedures of how the shelter takes in animals and processes them.

  3. The Vet has to draw blood and check the animals for diseases and illnesses. Here is Grace drawing blood from Bailey

  4. The animal then gets a bath. Here is Richard giving Bailey a bath.

  5. And then Bailey gets a good brushing from Richard.

  6. Angel is excited!

  7. The animals need daily walks. Here is Candace walking Bailey.

  8. Robin is helping train Bailey “Come here Bailey”.

  9. Bryson is helping clicker train Bailey.

  10. John is giving Bailey a treat for being still and quiet.

  11. Ms. Norris is showing us how to stuff the treat balls (congs) for the dogs.

  12. Here we are in the large kennel on the Large adoption floor. We are getting ready to start the clicker training.

  13. He was being quiet so Angel is throwing him a treat.

  14. More clicker training.

  15. Yonnua & Austin are stuffing the kongs with the slimy dog food.

  16. Here is Robin decorating a Kitty Condo with a pretty rainbow.

  17. Nichole is decorating the kitty condo with Meow’s and hearts.

  18. Here we are in the kitten & cat adoption room.

  19. Grace says “Awww! What pretty cats!”

  20. Ms. Norris has brought in a puppy for us to help socialize.

  21. What a good puppy!

  22. Richard had fun petting the puppy.

  23. The puppy wanted to jump in Angel’s lap!

  24. The puppy was loving all this attention from John & Dominick!

  25. What a good little puppy!

  26. Austin & Yonnua get to do some clicker training.

  27. Nichole & Nicholas are having fun clicker training the dogs.

  28. Bryson & Robin are enjoying their time at the animal shelter.

  29. Here is Bryson & Robin doing clicker training. This large white dog was so good and so pretty!

  30. I think he would make a great pet for someone! We need to get the word out to the public that these animals need good homes to love and care for them.

  31. Nicholas is feeding a dog for showing good behavior during clicker training.

  32. What sweet dogs!

  33. Visiting the small adoption floor.

  34. This kitten wants to play with Nicholas!

  35. What a sweet time for the kids and the puppy!

  36. This puppy was LOVING Nichole!

  37. Robin wanted to take her home!

  38. “Good little puppy” says Bryson.

  39. Yonnua is getting some puppy love.

  40. These are our Kitty Condo’s that we made. I think the cats at the shelter will enjoy their newly decorated homes!

  41. Our class learned a lot about what we can do to spread the word in helping the animal shelter help the homeless animals of Spartanburg County.
