  2. Galileo and telescopes • Galileo galilei had made the first telescope and had made amazing discoveries with it. Like discovering sunspots, how much moons Jupiter has and much more.

  3. Sunspots • Galileo discovered sunspots. Sunspots were black dots on the sun seen by Galileo's telescope(previous slide). But he soon became blind because of looking directly at the sun.

  4. The spy glass • In 1608,a toy was introduced. Galileo soon discovered that a spyglass could not only be used for fun but it could give a military an advantage on their enemy. So he grinded and polished lens and then made a useful spyglass for people to use.

  5. Centre of the solar system • Two of Galileo’s experiment's, the moon’s of Jupiter and phases of Venus helped him convince himself(and others later)that the sun, not the earth is the centre of the solar system

  6. Gravity speed • One of Galileo’s greatest experiment's took place on top of the leaning tower of Pisa.(not pizza)everyone knew that heavier objects would fall faster than lighter ones. But Galileo thought 'what would happen if I dropped half a cannonball? Would it take twice as much as time for it to land"he dropped cannonball’s of different sizes and guess what happened? That’s right they all took the same time to fall
