Who is eligible for Formal Recruitment? • Full-time students (enrolled in minimum 12 hours on Oxford campus) • Student must not have pledged a fraternity in the last 12 months
Grade Risks • Any potential new member who has below a 2.5 high school GPA, or 2.5 college GPA with 12+ hours completed • Each chapter can only take 5 grade risks

Recruitment Advisor • Selected on the basis of application and interview • Members of each fraternity on campus who disaffiliate from their chapters • Guide each potential new member through recruitment
Round Zero • Also Presidents’ Address • Sunday August 26th • 12 pm • Lunch Provided by Taylor Grocery • Fraternity Houses Open • 1st Floor common areas only • Respect

Floor Meetings • Recruitment Advisors will give vital information • 6 p.m. • Answer any questions • Notify of room changes
Convocation • Sunday September 16th • 2 p.m. at Fulton Chapel • Group Assignments • All needed information will be given
When is Formal Recruitment? • Begins Wednesday, September 19th • Ends Sunday, September 23rd
Groups • Divided into 14 groups • Divided alphabetically • Each group will have 4-5 Recruitment Advisors
Round 1: Wednesday • Meet your group in front of the Tad Pad at 3:45 • Visit 7 houses for 30 minutes each • There will be a dinner break from 6:45 to 7:45 • Potential New Members will get to know members of each fraternity. • Ends at 9:35 p.m.
Round 1: Thursday • Meet your group in front of the • Tad Pad at 3:45 • Visit 7 houses for 30 minutes each • There will be a dinner break • from 6:45-7:45 • Potential New Members will get • to know members of each fraternity. • Ends at 9:35 p.m. • Select at 6:15 a.m. at Tad Pad • Friday morning
Round 2: Friday • Meet at Tad Pad at 6:15 am • PNMs receive schedules. • 6 Parties of 60 Minutes each • Dinner break • Round ends • Ranking at Tad Pad
Round 3: Saturday • Final round of recruitment • Three parties of 60 minutes each • Meet at Tad Pad at 1:45 p.m. • A formal setting where Potential New Members will have in-depth conversations with members • Head to Tad Pad for final ranking. • Make your final decision.
Additional Information • NO SKIPPING CLASSES TO ATTEND A RECRUITMENT RELATED FUNCTION! • A formal excuse MUST be filed in order to miss a round • If you miss a class, you will automatically be released from recruitment • Form is found at www.olemiss.edu/greeks
Recruitment Tips • Keep an open mind • Maximize your options/selections • Info Tent • Major Absentee (athletic absentee, etc.) • Respect towards each Chapter
Finances • Deadline to register is September 12th ($100) • If you choose to join a fraternity, the average cost of membership is $350 - $450 per month. • For most fraternities, this includes three meals a day during weekdays and two meals on Fridays. • Many fraternities know the burden of financial obligations and offer adjusted payment plans and scholarships. • Fraternities are willing to work with you!
