Key Features of Service • Three MDTs, one based in each of the acute trusts with a separate lymphoma MDT at MVCC • BCSH level 1 services at 2 sites, level 2 at WHHT • Haematologists with oncology interest at all sites • Chemotherapy available at all sites • Tertiary services provided predominantly by UCLH
Key Achievements • NSSG is fully constituted and with committed members meeting regularly, from across the whole care pathway. • Drafted diagnostic pathways for most presentations • Treatment algorithms agreed for major disease types, with others in draft • Close relationships with key Pharmacy Advisers • Adherence to national & clinical disease guidelines
Some Challenges Planning blight Original measures published in 2004 Draft revised measures published Sept 2012 Measures due to be published April 2013 • Will need to produce appropriate documentation from scratch • There will be new requirements
Other Challenges • Implement Haematopathology Guidance • Complete robust data collection of the COSD through the MDTs • Information information information • Appoint a new Chair • Work with TYA CN to develop diagnostic, treatment and follow up pathways
