  2. Symptoms of Rabies in Humans • Irritability • Headache • Fever • Itching or pain at the sight of exposure • Convulsions • Delirium • Sometimes Death

Symptoms of Rabies In Animals • some animals may become depressed and retreat to isolated places • wild animals, especially skunks, may lose their fear of humans • animals may show signs of paralysis such as abnormal facial • animals may show signs of paralysis such as abnormal facial • expressions, drooping head, sagging jaw, or paralyzed hind limbs

  4. In Furious Rabies • animals may show extreme excitement and aggression • animals may gnaw and bite their own limbs • animals may attack stationary things or other animals • bouts of furious rabies usually alternate with periods of depression

  6. Prevention of Rabies • Series of vaccine injections • Vaccinating pets that share your home • Encourage your children not to touch or feed stray animals • Shots mostly given to people who have jobs that are in high risk of coming in-tact with Rabies.

  7. Duration • After symptoms of rabies begin, chances of survival are poor. • Without life support, death may occur within 4-20 days.

  9. Cause of Rabies • Bit by infected Animal • In rare cases, it spreads to humans by infected animals saliva coming in contact with mucous membranes • Or even broken skin
