  2. Late Work • 3 Oops Cards for 3 late assignments with no penalty • Must be signed by parent • Must state a reason for late assignment • Must be stapled to assignment • Must be turned in within ONE WEEK from original due date • Must be turned into the blue late bin Late assignments will NOT be accepted after the one week deadline or without an Oops Card

  3. Absent Work • It is YOUR responsibility to make up ANY work you missed while you were absent • Check with classmate, calendar, online and ‘extras bin’ • You have the amount of days you were absent to turn in any missing work • Label your assignment “ABSENT” and place in the blue late bin Late absent assignments will NOT be accepted after the deadline or if placed in the wrong bin

  4. Bathroom • You are to use the bathroom on your own time • 2 emergency bathroom passes allowed per trimester FOR ALL CLASSES • You will NOT be allowed to use the bathroom within the first 15 minutes of class

  5. Water • Water fountain for emergencies only • Bring water bottle! • You will NOT be allowed to use the water fountain within the first 15 minutes of class

  6. Pencils/Pens Bring Materials Everyday • Spare pencils for emergencies only • If you need to borrow a pencil, it MUST be done at the beginning of class • Write your name and last initial on the white board • Return pencil at the end of class • Erase name from whiteboard

  7. Grading Scale • Assessments= • 70% • Homework and Classwork= • 30%

  8. Homework Quality • Homework will be returned with point deduction if: • No name • Paper is wrinkled, torn, or dirty • Assignment is written in any ink color other than blue/black/pencil

  9. Homework Homerun • If you complete ALL homework assignments in a trimester you get: • Your name on the wall • A special prize

Homework/Classwork- • this includes current and graded assignments • Geography- • this includes all map activities and map quizzes • Handouts- • this includes important handouts that your teachers asks you to keep (i.e this syllabus) • Vocabulary- • this includes all vocabulary assignments, readings, quizzes, and notes. • Writing- • this includes all pieces of writing such as paragraphs, essays, quick writes Supplies • 5 binder dividers • Binder paper • Highlighters • Pencils • Erasers • Blue/Black Pen • 1” binder or bigger
